Excellent coastal walks especially through the Valley of the Rocks from Heddons Mouth to Woody Bay and along the top of Countisbury Hill. Attractions close by include the National Trust properties at Dunster Arlington Court and Knighthayes Court and at Minehead Somerwest World (Butlins) West Somerset Steam Railway and nearby the pretty town of Dulverton. Farm activities: pony rides are available at an extra cost and can be arranged on site. Games room: with TV/DVD Wii games console Sonos Bridge books and board games. The spacious accommodation adjoins a small annexe where privacy is assured. The well-proportioned rooms are spread over three floors and offer SEVEN bedrooms: on the top floor 1 zip-and-link made up as king size (singles on request) with additional single bed. 1 double the bed is reached on one side and 1 single. The middle floor has a spacious landing area with seating. 1 super king-size with dressing room with ample space for a Z bed (provided) and en-suite bathroom: with spa bath separate shower and WC. 2 2ft6 zip-and-links (which can be made into 1 double on request) 1 double with en-suite shower room and WC and 1 triple bunk bedroom. Bathroom: on the top floor bath with shower over and WC. Shower room: on the middle floor with WC. 2 WC s on the ground floor.Lounge: on the ground floor with woodburner (logs included) and great country views TV/DVD Chromecast and Wi-Fi. Dining room: with wood panelling and ample seating sofas and open fire (logs included). Kitchen: with Aga and electric oven and gas hob large fridge/ freezer (ice maker/dispenser) dishwasher microwave. Breakfast area opening out to terrace. Utility room: washing machine. Outside: Gardens can best be seen from the terrace with its balustrades and steps leading down to the extensive lawns. Amenities: ample parking. Minehead is a popular coastal town in Somerset, England. It is not far from Timberscombe, Dunster, Luccombe, Porlock, Porlock, and Old Cleeve and is one of over 130 towns and villages in Somerset in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest designated cities are Exeter (population 106,772), Wells (population 10,406), and Bristol (which has a population of 420,556 according to the 2001 Census).
As well as a sandy beach and scenic harbour area overlooked by cliffs, Minehead has a number of attractions including the popular Butlins holiday camp (which is open to day visitors as well as residents) and the West Somerset Railway which runs steam trains between Minehead and Bishops Lydeard, just north of Taunton.
